Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Penny Black Proof.

Gold 20FF Rooster

Some anti-tarnish jewellery tabs.

I'm not sure what I'll do with the tabs. I don't know if they'll work just in a box of stuff or whether they'll need to go direct into the tubes. I imagine it'll need to be in an air-tight environment.

I've learnt that proof black coins are not easy to photograph.

A gold US Mint 1913 Indian head 2 and a half dollars. Love the design. Ridiculous premium on the gold content - but a beautiful collectors coin. Need the 5 dollars now!

Beautiful coin and always fun to look at. Premium will stick to it so no worries.

Picked up my bullion by post 20% off ebay sovereign from the post office. A 1964 Elizabeth - a few knocks and a bit of dirt that needs sorting out but not too bad.

I also picked up my first shield sovereign that I managed with a £15 off ebay voucher for £231. A bit of a hefty premium for a sov but I have been wanting one and the voucher was all the excuse I needed! 1869 date so quite a common one I think, die number 40.

Ill get some pictures up at some point probably tomorrow.

@lubi29 LOL you are right re 1/2 oz S1 dragon proof it has the highest mintage of the S1  1/2ozers @1750  but is virtually impossible to get hold of & more expensive than all the other key coins except mouse.A friend of mine in the US has managed to find one and paid $375 USD for it two weeks ago.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

If any one got it here on forum and willing to sell I can equal that price.
