We bought a lot of these in 2018 and got them graded. There should be a few 'available' if you ask 😊

Hi @Roy have you got any available?

I've got a 2017 and 2018, but they are in storage in the UK 🙈

There were a number graded, mostly graded 69 and 70.

Put up a wanted ad mate, someone may have stopped collecting them 😊

I'll hold on for a mo. If they present themselves to me and are reasonably priced, I'll grab them. There's a couple coming up that I have my eye on that may relive me of a four figure number. Damn these last few are heavy on the premium side.

They are 100% genuine sovereign. The Royal Mint even supplied then the dies like all the previous branch mints of the past. That is all one needs to know. The reason why they stopped selling and minting could also be due to Modi allowing the country to produce their own gold coin from I think 2018-or 2019

28 on list 1 and 30 on list 2 (These I know are not really ones I'll get or at least anything R4 and above.)

There is a dealer I've been in contact with that has 34 of them but I can't fetch myself to part with £60k for them in one hit. That's almost £7,500 per ounce of gold.

And now 8 from the Delhi mint. 2013 to 2020 inclusive. I'm now of the opinion that they are Legitimate Royal Mint Sovereigns but I still feel torn. I think my pocket is trying to persuade my mind to wind it's neck in. True to the journey of collecting the humble sovereign. I started with just picking up any then date runs, followed by mints and their date runs and so on and on. God help me if I was Elon Musk or the like. Id be after each of the variations and even the Die numbers also.

We bought a lot of these in 2018 and got them graded. There should be a few 'available' if you ask 😊

Was it 2018 on here? I forget, not seen mine since they went into storage at the time, grabbed a few. I remember our outrage when the company put them up from £255 ish due to our demand 🤣

Iirc they are lovely and golden compared to modern British Sovs (Indians quite rightly want their gold GOLDEN!) and are stunning as presented in the assay card :)

You might be thinking about the 2017?

The 2018 was a group buy organized by 'Lord Voldemort' where he sent them all away for grading. I was lucky 😊

I think it was 2017. Iirc, the company offered a £10 discount?

I should've bought more.

That's what I was leaning towards, many thanks Roy! I think the initial MMTC (?) contract was finishing that year and we were all wondering if they would 'renew' (or be able to) for the anniversary. As always, with my usual mastery of such matters, I then baulked at the 2018 price 🤣

Blimey that is a blast from the past and a thread I'd like to revisit!

I hear you my friend. Although not as extreme in terms of distance, perhaps, while my brain and body are both in the UK at present, they rarely seem to coalesce within the same county :(
