Hi guys.

I'm curious what you all use to invest, and what you currently invest in?

Right now, other than gold and silver I use the plum app that auto takes money from my bank and invests it for me in a portfolio. Is there better options?

Dollar cost averaging into index funds is a safe strategy, but make sure to look at what funds it's being invested into and what those funds are comprised of. You can usually get the top 10 largest holding with a quick Google.

My sister recently used the moneybox app to do something similar because she thought it's do everything for her. In fact, it's just like a pension, they split your money between a preallocated set of funds determined by your risk tolerance. Most of that went into the Fidelity All World fund but if you look at the fact sheet you'll see that the largest holdings are very US centric and tech dominated, which IMHO isn't as diversified as a global fund should be.
