Maybe this is where the extra QA slip came from? 🤣

That's annoying though, especially when you have to send it back to the other side of the world.

Yeah it’s very disappointing because the reverse is perfect.

Still waiting for mine. What extra QA slip?

Don’t think I’ve had one of these before. Just the normal stickers. Not sure if it actually signifies anything. I ended up not sending my G&D in the end because I just couldn’t be arsed with the hassle.

I had only the regular tiny circular QC sticker (which was stuck on the inside of the outer brown box).

I’m so sad. 😞

Loving these new large format QC notes. How long until we see one that has written on it "Send help, I'm trapped in a QC department in Wales and I don't even know what I'm meant to be doing!"

Does it actually mean it’s been looked at any differently? Or did they just run out of numbers?🤣

Here you go.

No freaking idea what it is, but it’s not on the capsule, and it’s clear to see on the coin itself.

It looks like a “blunt smudge” as if something brushed up against that area.

Worth giving it a blow (with a blower) just in case it's something that comes off. I once bought a silver proof on the secondary market that had a big scratch on the obverse, which disappeared when I blew at it. It really did look like a scratch, too!

I agree… @westminstrelI’m not sure it’s a scratch from the pics. Got to be honest I wouldn’t send it back from here for that mark.. or let it reduce my love of the coin. Just a personal opinion of course.

I’m afraid to open it because if I damage it in the process, wouldn’t that mean I can’t return it even if the original thingey was genuinely a problem?

Also, how does one open this capsule? 😅

Well, I wouldn’t get sleep so I opened the capsule tonight (was easy enough… just needed to be a little careful).

But it’s definitely looking like something has rubbed on that part.

My 2 oz. arrived in what appears to be perfect condition.   Very well packaged and extremely nice display case.  You can tell that this Great Engravers series is something the RM is proud of.

There is a Linda Webb "Quality Inspector" at the RM

Does that mean she’s a very good inspector or that she inspects for quality?🤣
