I have 1 Troy ounce gold China Panda bullion from 1982 - 2015. I stopped acquiring the series from 2016 when China Mint went decimal weight of 30 grams.

Only have the one 1oz Panda, seen here with 4 others enjoying their breakfast at the Chengdu Panda breeding centre.

Like you, not keen on the 30g versions - that must be 1.1035g less gold than the 1oz!  Same price maybe! 🐼🤔

FYI - 1994 small date minted at Shenyang is scarcer than the 1994 large date minted at Shanghai.
