Today I made a polished Heart for a customer in the Netherlands :-) Love the global village!

All polished by hand (because I am old fashioned and like to destroy my fingers...)

Love the way the light plays off the heart :-)

Today I got a new custom made stamp delivered - it was a special request from this customer but I have had a play with the new stamp on some cubes!

For those of you who don't know this chinese symbol is "Double Happiness" Or "Double Joy" It is traditionally a symbol used at weddings but it is also a symbol used for generally portraying happiness and good will!

Has anybody here ever made a .999 silver chain from scratch?

I'm really curious how links are done outside of mass-production machines, where they can use tons of force and intense copper electrode welding / heat coil strengthening, etc.

999 silver chain would probably be malleable enough to twist by hand.

It is the Chinese symbol for 'Double happiness' very commonly used in weddings and as a way to convey joy and happiness to someone!

I like this! We've talked before on the forum about using silver for toys/games. I think Ben and Ollie are developing dominoes. What about these as draughts? Lots of ideas...silver/copper? Perhaps two different stamps? Nice oak board? 

There'd be something quite satisfying about tap..tap..tap..tap..tap with an oz of silver!

A hallmarked mirrored heart finished this week!

Today I fired up the new furnace and tested out a few new moulds! The big hearts are 4.5 - 5.0 ozt

The "broken heart" pair are about 2.25 Oz each!

Cleaning and polishing still to do so watch this space for some big chunky hearts!
