Good news that the bullion Tudor Dragons are actually, finally, coming.

But 'Mighty and Ferocious'?  Yeah, right...

And here's the Four Nations bullion range: https://www.royalmint.com/invest/bullion/uk-coin-ranges/four-nations/

Quick to boot off the great seals off the homepage. Like it never happened.

I have it on good authority that this was a major flop.

I'm calling it now, we won't hear anything more about great seals. No more of them will happen.

They're clearly paving the way for this amazing offer:

Purchase the 1/4oz Gold and 2oz Silver Four Nations Bullion coins together and be in for a chance of winning a 2016 Brilliant Uncirculated Last Round Pound Coin.

  • 2 weeks later...

No other big dealers were selling the Four Nations bullion coin as far as I saw, so I wondered whether it was going to be a mint exclusive.... but then the edition limit on the silver was 500,000 so for it to disappear like that is interesting. Maybe some US pension company slurped them all up and they'll be worth loads now :D

Yes I was surprised when I saw it, as we hadn't heard anything in the dealer community yet that I know of. Were RM actually selling it, or was it just info/register your interest for now? I wonder if it went up earlier than it was supposed to.

Disclosure - I work in the precious metals industry, however this is my personal account and all opinions are my own.

That the answer I got from the RM CS. Looks like they are saying they've never released those coins 🤣

Unfortunately, I do not have any screenshots with the coins being sold on the RM website...

Unfortunately each department at RM is so big they have no idea what the others are doing 😅

I doubt the guy from Bullion Customer Service Team (as said in his signature) doesn't really know about recent releases. But everything is possible...

CS know nothing about the things the mint sells, nor are they interested in them. Shame really.

This is the text of the release email 9 days ago when the range was made available:

Four National Symbols Reunited

We are delighted to reveal the return of a celebrated United Kingdom coin design.

The Four Nations Bullion Coin Range features Gregory Cameron’s design that cleverly connects the heraldic beasts of the nations of the UK and first appeared on the last ‘round pound’ released in 2016.

The range is available now in quarter-ounce gold bullion and two-ounce silver bullion editions.
