GMT+1?  so if I live in GMT-4 (Detroit area), 7PM would be 2PM for me?

Wow, glad you're asking this! I'm EST as well. My assumption was a 6 hour time difference, or 1PM. Good to clarify!

A man was praying every night before going to bed, year after year:

- God, help me to win the big prize at lottery!

In one night, sleeping, at him come God in his dream:

- Man, give me a chance! You need to buy a ticket!🤗

Even if you just buy 1 ticket, for 600 tickets (£3000), the odds of winning a bar is about 1.5%, which is very high for a raffle.  This is because there are 5 bars.  The odds are even better if you include the booby prizes.  Of course the odds increase as you buy more tickets.  But like you said, it is for a good cause, so you win either way.

Biggest raffle I every won was a $1200 raffle at my son's football game.  They handed me a wad of mostly $1 bills.  This was in 2008 when the economy was c**p.  I just lost a very good, well-paying job.  Tell me there are no guardian angels.  If you are religious, your God(s) will be pleased, you'll build up good karma.  If you are not religious, you will feel better knowing you helped your fellow humankind in distress.

The raffle will be taking place at 7pm UK time... hope that gives a bit of clarification 😁

To clarify, the stream will start at 7pm and we will draw the winners after 15-20 minutes to get a bit of a crowd going 🙂

UPDATE - 25th March 2022

OK, we have the bars back from the assay office!

So, they will be winging their way around the country over the next few weeks and we will then be in a position to name a date for the draw to happen.

In the meantime I want to get the entries rolling in so that every few days we can make a nice big donation to The Red Cross

All the information about the charity can be found here:

https://donate.redcross.org.uk/appeal/ukraine-crisis-appeal

Rules

Entries are £5 per ticket with no limit on the number of entries per person.

Please send your entries via PayPal friends and family to info@backyardbullion.com

PLEASE PUT YOUR SILVER FORUM NAME AS A REFERENCE!!

If you are not able to send via friends and family then please add 5% for paypal fees

I can also accept banks transfers as entries, please message me for the bank details.

8.96 ozt Ripple Bar

9.49 ozt Ripple Bar

9.96 ozt Ripple Bar

9.74 ozt Ripple Bar

9.68 ozt Ripple Bar

Total: 47.83

1x 1oz silver coin (to be determined at a later date)

1x 1oz silver coin (to be determined at a later date)

1x 1oz silver coin (to be determined at a later date)

1x 1oz silver coin (to be determined at a later date)

ONE PRIZE PER PERSON MAXIMUM

We are going to limit one prize per person to get as many winners as possible.

Winners will not have to pay for any postage/shipping

Winners will, however, be responsible for any import charges for delivery to their home country.

DRAW DATES

At this time we do not have a specific time for entries to close by and the draw date to happen.

My best estimate is that we will be able to draw the winners in week commencing 11th April 2022.

As soon as we have firm dates set for this we will communicate out here on the forum.

But I felt it would be a good idea to get the entries rolling in so that we can make donations every other day to The Red Cross sooner rather than later.

LIVE DRAWING THE RESULTS

I will be hosting a livestream on YouTube to draw the results using a random number generator. Exact details of this selection process will be shared in due course.

If anyone has any questions or anything else they want to know about this please feel free to ask here or PM me!

Thanks all!
