Central bankers are politicians disguised as economists or bankers. They’re either incompetent or liars. So, either way, you’re never going to get a valid answer.” - Peter Schiff

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.

The public think they are the first purchaser, from a Royal Mint supplied dealer for a product paying RRP.

How would they be expected to realize that is not the case on the actual launch date of a product, or after.

Just to clarify, you aren't concerned about this anymore ?

As you did know the RRP, at least you had an extremely good idea.

I think you'll find that all coins are now exempt from the distance selling regulations 😉

If you look at the regulations, bullion definitely exempt due to market fluctuations, ‘collectible’ probably not. However, if I bought a bullion item and between buying and sending back the bullion price went up, I don’t see a problem if I was to get my original money back? Obviously to simple for the suits.

So he posted back in December last year about buying it, and recently he has been spouting about exercising his right to a refund under the Distance Selling Regulations!

That doesn't add up, or ring true, but that's quite consistent with everything he says.

No, it was a subtle trap. Contrary to Barry's insistence, all coins are exempt from the distance selling regulations. In fact, everything is, simply because those regulations haven't applied in UK law since 2014.

Note that I'm not saying it can't be returned under the consumer contracts regulations; I just think it would be wise for Barry to update his knowledge before going in all guns blazing and citing regulations that no longer exist.

It might demonstrate to the seller that he doesn't know what he's going on about.

No - not paid too much.. (there is a separate issue , that all dealers seem to be Mint Marque, customers) the company lied about it's provenance, lied that the Royal Mint supplied thier coins, Lied about Being a trsuted partner with Royal Mint - and thh same with Baird and co. They are an established dealer - listed dhere in price comparisons chat..

So just return the bloooody coin and then try to extract your revenge and kick the dealer later. Why prolong the issue?
