I do no that they perform very badly but i feel like i have to buy them to keep the date run going. However, i can justify stopping to collect them if i am unable to get that 2nd coin of this year. Maybe just my strange way of thinking.

But there is no question that these coins will less value. Thats my reason the never buying the £100 are £50 ones.

Make new friends but keep the old.

One is silver and the other gold

Hmmm

£100 Big Ben?

50p Peter rabbit?

Both will eventually fall in price, after the number of dafties who have overpayed gets lower.

£100 Big Ben can be bought on ebay for less than £100 now. (Don't the people who bought it at £300+ feel idiots now)

the Peter Rabbit, will go the same way in a month or two.

Irrelevant.

My response was to the statement that RM coins never gain value over purchase price.

Timing is the trick.

Perhaps you should have mentioned that first. There was no mention of timing in your post.

Or did you think that pertinent fact was irrelevant; ;)
