That’s fine, however, why anyone would sell a coin so soon at a lot lower price than when first issued is anyone’s gues🤔

And there lays the problem.

And the reason i asked if i should carry on.

The last 2 or 3 I purchased from the RM. Can't remember how many have been released now as mine are all stored away.

If I am being brutally honest, even at £65 per Oz for the proofs doesn't excite me.

The royal mint peaked in 2022 with the jubilee. After that they milked as much as they could and got way too greedy.

Now they are throwing proverbial terrible at the wall hoping something will stick.

They have soured the experience for so many other people, not just me.

I have it on good authority that their sales are down 40-50% this year to date and this is already down from the previous year.

2 years ago, turnover £1.9 billion. Last year £1.3 billion and I think this year sub £1b is happening.

This is against a backdrop of massive price rises on gold and silver so when you do the maths for their volume of product sold it's tiny by comparison.

Trouble ahead I think and there will be pressure from the treasury and taxpayer soon as they are literally burning money and branding.

I know some people are sick of me moaning about the mint but when the house of cards comes falling down in a few years and Anne Jessop quits in disgrace or is forced out I will be quietly saying I told you so.

Their pricing is ridiculous and their quality is sub par.

The fact you can buy the exact same coins from dealers cheaper who still make a good margin shows how overpriced it all is.

Quite shocked at the revenue figures you've mentioned though. That's a hell of a decline.

@ChrisSilver Not sure about a screenshot, but I do the emoticon, which shows up fine.
Then when it saves the above is displayed? Has anyone else had this issue??

Okay, think I know why it may be doing that (to do with recently disabling remote images, even though that image is hosted in our how server, likely will need to contact the software company to see what it’s doing that) Will see if I can check later, are you able to please send me a private message please so I don’t forget to check it later? 🙏 :)

EDIT: I have some time now, I will private message you.
