Today I bought.....

Recommended Posts

Today I picked up a couple of interesting coins.

Found a 1/2oz Rabbit with a Coa as mine didn't have a Coa and I put that one in a slab.

Also a 1987 proof 1/4 panda to add to my little and only slowly growing gold Panda collection.

a 2015 silver 7 coin Libertad proof set

Oldun - that's a serious chunk of Libertad love right there! May I ask - is there a supplier in Japan or did you source them from the US , where most of the few 7 coin boxes end up?

Purchased from our very own Numistacker. There are plenty of dealers here in Japan by the way but I have not seen any of the 2014/15 sets anywhere here.

Just finished an auction 470 usd /309 gbp for a 1982/3 proof set in original box with COA no. 840 :) Happy camper. Local auction, so just go and pay and pick up in person.

Photos are of the actual set. Mintage 998 but in reality far far less as many people have lifted the proof 1 oz out and slabbed or capsuled. If the design gets changed next year (unsubstantiated rumour), this will go nicely with the 2015 7 coin set as a kind of bookend set. Either way, just a fun bit history to have. A complete set sold on ebay last year for 850 usd.

Scraped this data off the internet (Bullion Stacker) and this is just for the 1oz that was ripped from the set (good for those with sets !!!)

1983 P 1oz $838.00 12/1/2014 NGC PF69 UCAM
1983 P 1oz $889.00 3/1/2015 NGC PF68 UCAM
1983 P 1oz $630.00 8/17/2015 raw

Well it looks like I missed the silver, so I'm back buying silver again.

Don't want to follow the semi-numi path as before, so concentrating on my £/oz average very carefully, as I have done with my gold (12oz at £780 average). No circulated allowed though.

So today I bought a 1kg 2015 kook and a 1kg 2016 lunar S2 monkey, with four 1oz Noah's to make the numbers work.

Added to the two 10oz coins I bought last week, I have 85oz of silver at a sub-£12 average.

Aiming to keep the average under £13 if possible.

Never had a kilo coin before, so quite excited to get them in hand.

Stacker since 2013
