Hi there,

I have in my collection a George III Cartwheel penny dated 1797. I've seen the same coin sell for £180, if anyone would be interested let me know. I'm in the UK.

do you have pictures please?

I’ve a few of these Dan, picked them up in a local auction.  Funnily enough the lot had 7 x 1797 Cartwheel Pennies.

These coins are out of my comfort zone as my knowledge and experience is based around precious metals...

Im certainly very interested to hear where you saw one sell for £180. Well done for finding a ‘sold’ item, a lot of people base their prices on what others are asking rather than what a particular coin is ‘selling’ for!

What  I do know is condition is everything!

My grandfather was an avid collector and left me his entire collection of coins.

What a nice inheritance to have been left...

If anyone has anything they're looking for specifically let me know. Send me a photo of the coin and I can keep an eye out for it in my collection.

Mmm....there's being hundreds of different types of coins struck over the years - and that's just British circulating coins.  If you add in British commemorative and themed coins, it'll likely run into thousands- maybe take a photo of some different types of coins you have, or narrow it down to at least which Century the coins belong to!

I've lots of commemorative collections. Think I've a suitcase full. Golden jubilee type things, coins of the realm from the royal mint etc.

I'll get some photos up later today.
