Maybe I'm alone on this one but I am not fond of the design.

I quite like it, I've been umm'ing and ahh'ing whether to actually get anything though

I don't like to buy things just because I like them because that's a slippery slope lol

Is it easy to get a refund if you don’t like the flip price. Got to be honest that’s all I’m interested in. If they not a good flip just return them. I don’t buy from the RM often

Hi all, new to the forum and reasonably new to coins. I took the decision at the beginning of the year to diversify my investment portfolio into coins that I really like. I got sucked in a bit with the brexit coins frenzy (and broke my first rule of picking ones I really like, but I do have a small collection of sovereigns and it was a good edition to that, the 50p seemed an obvious if not expensive edition)... however, I really like the new Britannia and had been waiting for it and have gone for:

3 x 1/4oz Platinum (The mintage seemed so low and it seemed a good price). 

1 gold 1/4oz

.... and the 5oz Gold 😬 I mused over getting sets and smaller coins but I just think the coin will be amazing in a 50mm dia

thats me spent up for now...

I’ve decided to see how it goes with the 160 platinum 1/4 if I’ve got it wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time 🤩but I’m saving for more gold. At last my discipline worked. For better or worse.

I'm disappointed.

The figure of Britannia looks bad in my eyes. 

The dress is too wrinkly and you can't see the shape of the leg as the wind should press the dress against the body. 

Her chest is too flat... and I'm not one who wanted to see a porn star like the Germania ones.

For me, I really like the design. Of course it is not the best of RM but I think that some of the coins will be a success .

2 coin set sold out now. I do like the look of the reverse proof so can't wait to see it in hand.

Hope I don't like the dino 50p coins that are coming out soon though as I need to curb my spending!

Hum what about the 6 coin set? It’s the only one with 1 oz gold (Set mintage of 150) or just go for the 2oz (montage of 150)

I decided against getting one and I'm glad

I think they might make a little profit but I would have mostly been buying it because I like it

I actually found myself looking at the other years reverse proofs on ebay last night tut tut

Something about reverse proofs does appeal to me but It's a bad road to go down so I must resist

I just got my reverse proof set just now... it looks great, I must say (the new design). Better in hand than on pictures.

I very nearly pulled the trigger on the 1/4 Gold and 1/4 platinum. But in the end I just didn’t like the design enough.

Right, wrong, or indifferent, I purchased the 1/4 oz Platinum Proof. Mind you I have no other 1/4 oz platinum Britannias (only two 1/10 oz platinum Brits BU)...so there is little to no strategy for me with this one. The mintage was low enough to influence the decision...not that I make the best decisions. 🥺
