Gold Coins In London

HGM (Hatton Garden Metals) and Baird & Co. are virtually next door to each other in Farringdon.  I doubt you'll pay less in-store.  Take a walk from there towards Hyde Park Corner (15 mins walk?) and you'll come to Sharps Pixley.  HGM and Sharps are both competitive, Sharps usually cheapest for sovs and HGM usually cheapest for krugs. http://goldprice.eu5.net/

If you're planning on buying a few k worth, take ID with you as they may require it.

Forgot one : Harrington & Byrne are only 10 mins north of Sharps Pixley, at Hanover Square.  You could pick up your cheap sovs in person! :)

The H&B London address is a serviced office, just the address of the Ltd, there's no one or product there.

Another London based shop if in the west end is ATS, by the Savoy hotel on the Strand.

Places like ATS or HGM are not good places to stop by really. These places don't have showrooms or display cabinets. They have walled off booths and barriers between you and the folk that work there. Check their websites and if you like something then by all means drop in to buy, but don't expect a pleasant browsing experience!

I've not gone in to Sharps Pixley yet, but I drove past it and it looked far more inviting at least from the outside. Not been to Baird either.

I buy most of my precious metals online but sell in person to Hatton Garden Metals. Yes, you’re right about these places not being very welcoming places to visit with walled off booths and barriers. Even Sharps Pixley has openly admitted in an interview they scan every customer who enters their store and the red flags go up if they’re spotted wearing trainers. Sounds rather extreme. Another problem is the fact that they’re open weekdays when most people are working. Some dealers have gone completely online with no brick-and-mortar presence at all.
