Finally in a queue, not sure why im happy to be in a queue though, The Royal Mint are messing with my head.

Edit: I was in the queue, I was being redirected to the website and now back to host error, officially messing with me.

If you just want the silver you could go Coin Connection for £61 as of now :)

I think I’ll be waiting for the secondary market for this one.

Neither of the original Gruffalo silver proof I sold made the release price.

Me too, no queue now to buy!

30K for each - Wont replicate the Peter Rabbit 2016 phenomenon.

I like the design though!

I do like the different options but its a little sad to see the first silver proof be added back just in another form.

Just repackaging some of the MCM 30k that didn't sell i guess

I bet they'll be alot of the first series going up on ebay over the next few days. Good opportunity for sellers I think.

I'm hoping these do well over the long term. Especially if theres more in the series.

So we'll have to wait for the third Gruff for the second one's special editions to become available (or not - see Paddington book set which only appeared for one coin) Now I know Coldplay were inspired by the Royal Mint when they wrote 'nobody said it was easy, nobody ever said it could be this hard'.

I like the options, I think they're really nice :) It's only 1750 total extra mintage isn't it out of a possible 5000 on the MCM? And the original LEP will always be sold out at 25k.

The question is will they have the same special LEPs for the later coins, and will there be more (e.g. a final 'complete edition' offering all of the coins)?

Yes it could be a good time to sell if one's looking to exit these, have to see what the demand/supply is like. Hopefully after last time's 'failure' most of these will be bought by genuine homes rather than flippers.

I too hope these do really well and love this coin, think it's a cracker :)

You getting or sticking with Silver?

Just having a look, lovely coin but the Mint has pitched the price far too high imo, it makes it a risky proposition for collectors who may need to sell at some point. Of course coins like this should always be for those looking to collect, not invest, but the premium is ridiculous and hard to justify as a purchase personally.

I'm leaving the silver too as I just had a very expensive (non-PM) purchase so no room for luxuries atm. I have two originals so can always swap one later hopefully :)
