Homer Simpson Perth Mint

Just stumbled over this coin on goldsilver.be. and after a quick search it was the only place I could find them so far.

The mintage will be 5000 and as you can see the same design as the Simpsons 1 oz bu coin. 500 will be released in the blister.

The premium is bearable imo with a price of 1417 €.

 

What you think?

I am curious to see if they will also release the other ones in gold as well.

Sorry if this is out of place, but I find it ironic to have Homer and "DOH!" on any coin that also has any national leader. 

I would totally buy this if I was in the market for a one ounce coin.

The GSBe site has it as 5,000, but I guess if anyone should know the real mintage it's PerthMint.

I am pretty sure it said 500 yesterday...but could be mistaken.

 

Apperantly 500 will be released in the blister and 4500 normal

Did anyone actually get this coin? I really like the silver homer and I am considering getting the gold one too. Theres not really much premium on the coin here in Germany and it has a low mintage (is 5000 considered as low?).

I ordered it but did not arrive yet.  I would say for such a piece 5k is not really low if you look at other gold coins and there mintage at the moment

Yep there is one. You can still get them at aurinum.de for example.

Last time I checked these had an amazingly low premium on GSBe - lower than sovereigns or Brittanias. Hmmmm... gold!

According to the Perth Mint website, the release date of the 1 OZ Silver Simpson Krusty is January 31, 2020.
