Kennedy siding with Trump may have defused that risk to a degree. Ultraprogressives will riot in the cities regardless of the outcome. Trump supporters are unlikely to loot or burn down property.

Ticked up a bit so far this morning - £1,914 currently. Some US GDP data at 13:30 so that could cause a bit more movement. Weak GDP in particular may increase hopes for a bigger cut from the Fed in September and weaken the dollar a bit further.
