Current low trading volumes on the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) also signalled weak activity, said Hugo Pascal, precious metals trader at InProved, but added volumes normally start to pick up again at the end of August through September.

The dollar debasement, relative decline compared to all other assets, is likely to persist for years yet given how gold is now tier 1 and the USD is no longer the safe haven it once was perceived as being. Central Banks wont just dump all of their USD as that would entail having had inflation exported onto them, positions have to be unwound/transitioned, over time. Stocks and gold positively rather than inversely correlated is likely still going to be with us for a considerable while yet.

Aaah, no wonder... I've had it upside down all these years

Central bankers are politicians disguised as economists or bankers. They’re either incompetent or liars. So, either way, you’re never going to get a valid answer.” - Peter Schiff

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.
