It isn’t as bad as many think. I work at a C of E primary school and there is still a lot of positives within the profession and I genuinely love my job after many years in business before.

A bit of woke twaddle about to deal with but many actually ignore it and sideline it where possible, more teachers are frustrated and derisive of it than get credit for (yes there are the usual rainbow badge numpties still).

Some of us are still trying to teach traditional values, manners and an interest in learning 😊

My mate is an English teacher at a school in Aberdeen. He hates it. Says it's all about box ticking rather than real education. He was forced to attend a gender awareness course a few months back and got a nice wee certificate for it which I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.  Like you, he tries to maintain a semblance of teaching traditional values and real learning skills, but he's up against it and has to be really careful.

Yet more inflation heading our way,

This kind of employer/tax payer pension contribution is commonplace in the public sector.

Strangely, the insanity of having a 28% employer pension contributions is never talked about.

No wonder the public sector champagne socialists love big government.

Inflation and interest rate are not going down any time soon :( just like labour in the 1970s

It's likely that inflation might tick up slightly in the next figures as there was a -0.9% rate of change from June to July last year and that will roll off for then next calculation.

Also this is CPI and not CPIH (to include housing), which last month had inflation at 2.8%

Magically I think we’ll see a US rate cut before the election. So I see a gold price rise in USD terms but a slight drop or maintenance of gold price in GBP. Unless there’s a UK rate rise and then you may see a bigger drop in GBP price as the pound strengthens

Aaaahhh😉

You going to be powering your laptop or mobile by one of those dynamo that use to get attached to the front wheel of a bicycle to make the light work. Everyone will have a front wheel peddle machine at their sofa. At least it will burn the fat off.

Now what odds do you get for her to beat trump?

Got to be higher than 14/1

I don't know if because he endorsed her she necessarily will be running against Trump or if there is another selection process for her to get through yet

She has to get the delegates.  She doesn't have them yet.

Team Kamala swooped in quickly on the FEC filing and securing the funds last night. She probably knew about Joe's withdrawal sooner than Joe himself.
