Just curious  I think keeping such a small budget would make it tough, at the same time give those with smaller budgets some inspiration.

With the Gold/Silver ratio being above 91, I'd look to get Silver instead of Gold ATM. I currently like these: https://www.europeanmint.com/2019-10oz-uk-silver-valiant-coin/

If it has to be Gold, then a bullion Sovereign.

I think it would almost certainly wind up being a Sovereign. There have been some nice quarter ounce proof coins appearing at this price range now that the current market seems to have people wanting to sell but barring the discovery of anything that excites me along those lines it would be a Sovereign.
