I wouldn't bother, massive premiums on them, means that you are relying on ebay to sell them or the few fractional gold collectors that are on here. Dealers won't even give you spot price for them.

But that's just me, i'm sure they have their fans somewhere out there.

Too high of a premium for my liking on the 1/4 Sovs. If you did want fractional gold every now and again there's good prices on here for 1/10 Brits, and gold bars under 5gram.

I agree.  High premiums, difficult to sell, and pretty darn small to boot (these things are important if you want a wow factor from your purchase!). 

If possible, resist the urge and wait (if needed) until you justify spending the relevant amount of money on a full sovereign.  Even these are quite small really - a 1 oz gold coin is an absolutely dazzling object by comparison, with a proper wow factor! 😊
