Yale of Beaufort

Has anybody else seen this design yet? And what do you think of it? Personally, it's much better than I expected, I really like it!

Not sure, I followed a link to a site with a dead end. Probably for preorder beginning of March.

Its an ugly beast but I like it. I see 1 oz of gold, something a bit different from yet another 1 oz Britannia and as others have said - I need it to finish the set

Always going to be difficult as the Yale is such an ugly beast. Looks like JC has done a good job with this though.

I debated stopping after seeing the schmansy Bull and made up my mind after seeing the out-of-place Falcon. 

No point in sinking more money into a series that’s going from bad to worse. 

The Yale is okay.  The horns are angled awkwardly (they can’t possibly be symmetric given the angle of the head... but whatever; the Falcon design showed us that these things don’t really matter).  The speckles AND the chain maille make the coin look very messy and if it’s hard to see the design of the beast zoomed in on a screen, I can only imagine a 1/4 Oz.  The proof will look much better I think. 

But I’d much rather pick some nice classic Sovereigns 😎

Just a note, part of the lore behind a Yale is the horns can be moved independently/swivel!

Yes I am aware of that (thanks in part to my interest in fantasy 😬) but I think certain things translate better in certain formats. The way the yale’s horns are depicted, as symmetric tendrils, makes it seem the beast is having a bad hair day. 😬
