I got 2 yesterday and agree they are very nice indeed. I love the background on both sides but especially on the eagle. Mine were also from silvertrader and got them in excellent condition and very quickly.

Out of a 25,000 mintage, 1,000 of these pieces were pre ordered by a Toronto dealer.  As of yesterday, almost all of the 1,000 pieces were sold.  Sounds like a popular high premium piece.  Any thoughts ... good or bad for this issue?  Did I miss the boat by not buying it?

I think this is going to be VERY collectible and will watch for possible gold issue to come...

I still think it's way too expensive, even though I like the coin I just can't get myself to pay that. I sincerely hope the price will drop..

I like the round myself, but I'm all over the place with sets so I need to stop and concentrate on what I'm already collecting for a little while.

Aaargh! Really loses appeal; they may have been smarter to go with more  traditional 5 oz version and a gold or two. That multi-metal plating thing is really for the birds (IMO).

The coloured version is awful. Why do mints spoil coins by adding colour like they think people likes these!😑

I guess as a new mint they are looking to do something different from the crowd to attract some attention. Must be tough to complete against the established national mints. They are only minting 500 each of the new rounds so they don’t need many people to want them.

Trying to compare the Germania to the Britannia is a non-starter for me, it’s downright ugly and over priced.
