100g Water Buffalo size discrepancy

Hi, 

I ordered a congolese 100g Water Buffalo silver coin from ebay and I love it a lot. 

It's diameter is slightly different what is given officially. My coin is 39.3mm while 38.6mm is mentioned everywhere. The weight is 100.4g.  I have started stacking recently and I would like to ask your opinion if it is a significant difference to  worry about it?

If you post a photo of your coin somebody here may have one and be able to compare.

Coins aren't always precise to specs.   I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Can you do a ping test or a magnet slide test? Off diameter can be a sign of a fake... (not to alarm just yet)

The coin is 9.3mm thick, so I can't ping really. When I have a small plastic cup,  I will measure it's density in water.

I was just curious if this diameter discrepancy can be normal.

Bonus tip:  The complete mintage of Water Buffalo is 5000 coins only (30,000 was intended).

yes, I saw the last time I checked Scottsdale that the buffalo was sold out......had not seen the number of 5.000.....thank you !!

I have some and really like them....but no capsule found yet....

Anyway, I managed the density test: 10.52 ☑️

Are those metal tweezers?  Doesn’t the part of them that is submerged in the water effect the result?

yes, tweezers. Before I set  the weight  to zero I submerge the tweezers in the water the same level to make sure the only extra volume is the coin only.
