Used them before, great service

Great thanks ordered today but was having second thoughts with the lack of reviews and price seemed low for the coin I ordered.

The Royal Mint has bought a slice of a coin dealership in Mayfair, London, as it looks to capitalise on the growing interest in numismatics - or coin collecting.

The Mint has made an equity investment in Sovereign Rarities Limited as part of its five-year plan to grow in the collector services market.

This is the first time Royal Mint has taken a stake in a historic coin dealer. However, it told This is Money that it could not disclose the stake size or cash involved, stating it is 'commercially sensitive' information.

Great dealer top notch

My 1887 Proof came from them

They are at the top of the tree, prices seem crazy to me don't you think?

I just ordered a sovereign from Sovereign Rarities. I’ll showcase the sovereign on the Silver Forum when it arrives and you can all judge for yourselves whether Sovereign Rarities is any good or not. I’m not at liberty to specify the sovereign I ordered for security reasons until it safely arrives.

To update everyone. I received my 1908 Edward VII Melbourne Mint sovereign from Sovereign Rarities yesterday which is in extremely fine condition. They even sent me a letter of provenance along with the sovereign which is kind of really nice of them. Sovereign Rarities has a very good pedigree with even the Royal Mint making an investment in the coin dealership.

One of the team members behind Sovereign Rarities is Steve Hill and ex Baldwin’s who I have also bought from. Both numismatic dealers are British Numismatic Trade Association (BNTA) members. The long and short of my update as a first-time buyer is that Sovereign Rarities is most definitely on my list of recommended numismatic dealers who I will be buying from again in future with complete confidence.
