A Gold St Gaudens $20.... not willy waving, just got lucky on a bet and had the funds for something I didn't think i'd be able to get for a while.

I reckon most peoples average price would fall into the first category, or the 2nd if you just stack Sovs and nothing else.

Are we talking most expensive purchase or just what's the highest value coin we have?

Currently the most I've ever spent on a single purchase is £930 for 1 oz bullion Britannia, nothing too interesting 

I keep thinking I should swap some bits and bobs out for a nice high grade low x,xxx rarer sovereign, historic collectible that will only ever go up

A 99999 fine gold 1.oz Canadian mint elk coin cost me £1050 from Atkinson.s lovely really yellow gold colour comes in certicard. but got my eye on £5 pound sovereign next would love the 2017 bu with the garter best coin I've seen so far
