Today I Received.....

Today I received:

1oz gold Queen's Beast Griffin (£1325 bought on this awesome forum from @kneehow2018)

500g silver Geiger bar

4 Perth mint dragon bars (to fill up my tube)

Silver stuff came directly from Geiger. I paid a hefty premium on the 500g bar but I just had to get one!

I'm debating with myself whether to take off the vacuum sealed plastic around the 500g bar. I probably won't.

2p included for size comparison.

The vac pack on the Geiger is actually a big improvement on the wafer thin clingfilm on my 10oz that they used to use..

Yeah I know the stuff you mean although I think they should just provide capsules for them. This stuff isn't completely transparent.

Thanks to Sören of @muenzdachs for the fabulous service he provides. He only received the 2019 set in stock on Wednesday in Germany and arrived here in Yorkshire today.

This is the start of my stack bought over 8 weeks. Joined the forum recently and bought another 20 x 1oz dragon bars immediately (I should of joined earlier!). Also bought a 10oz stocksdale bar, a few eagles and my first libertad. I work away a lot but hopefully they will all of been delivered by the time I next get back so I can post some unboxing photos 👍🏻

Nice collection in such a short space of time.  

You do realise however, in catching the Silver bug, soon you will be walking around in rags, the soles of your shoes will be flapping about with every step you take and you'll soon be questioning whether Heinz beans are worth the premium, or could you save a few pence on a Value alternative.  You'll find your car doing a few more miles between servicing, and you'll forgo that morning bacon butty on the way to work...you won't hear what your wife has to say as you beaver away looking for bargains online, and it'll soon become more compelling to have a visit to local tat shops instead of a walk in the countryside or along the promenade....but on a much brighter note,  your Silver collection will grow and grow...

Today I received in my change after shopping in Morrison's.............several Polish silver coins saying "20 Groszy" that are almost identical in size to our 5 pence's.

Never noticed till I got home 2 hours ago.

Actually got it yesterday from Alun but took till today to transfer the Britannia's over to it, I'm threeshort of a full collection, the mule, the dog and the pig privy but it looks sweet and has a few years of growth left in it.

I love wartime stuff very nice, I take it those with the cross and shields are Swiss (same as on my Swiss Luger and K31 rifle.
