Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

what do you consider a crazy price?

I just looked out of interest, seem to sell for £270/80 on Ebay

I remember a couple of years ago they were selling for £250 ish so it's not really too much of a difference, though Atkinsons would often have them for £210ish, not seen them have any in stock for a good while though hmm

Nobody will have them for £210 now:D

I'd say 10% was a fair premium, so about £263 at the moment.

Set of Privateers - Missed out on the start of these I liked the first issue but was unable to obtain one for a reasonable price at the time so left it however I like all subsequent issues and ended paying a hefty premium to obtain a set - a lesson learned for me - time you see it is the time to buy it for me if I like it.

It would be nice Elemetal/Provident had a case for these

I recently got the set too, and would love a case for them!!!

I would like a case also but is it not a case of needing to wait until they finish the series before a case can be produced?  Is theis the series finished or are there more to come?

Not sure anybody knows to be honest mate, I hope they make up to a decent number.

I have had a hell of a lot of coins in my time, but this series is by far my favourite.

Have a good look over the brit, I have sent 2 back due to scratches and milk spots. Shame really as the coin is a looker.

You are right they got all got spots. But this one was the best from 10 he had. I couldn't see anything jet. But Royal mint are well known for poor quality check

LUNAR SERIES II.

I've merged it here as I don't see the point of having individual threads of each coin you receive as they are already covered in other threads.
