The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

A 'holy grail' delivery for me today: 2x 2021 Wombat from the Perth Mint.  Hadn't seen the 2021 Wom for sale at all in the UK, but found these at a reasonable price from Australia via eBay. Hadn't purchased PM's via eBay before so it was a bit of a gamble, but it paid off 😃

My wombat collection is now up-to-date, just awaiting the release of the 2024.

I have looked at the other years - they are all lovely 🌞

Although the literal meaning of Piedfort is "strong foot", a more accurate translation/interpretation would be "heavyweight". The term started off as two words until its first appearance in its current form over two hundred years ago.

The "piefort" misspelling first came to light in the late 19th century and both forms are now regarded as acceptable with the bastardization generally more common in our former colony.

The pedagogues of the Académie Française must be apoplectic that the Yankee variant has now been adopted into modern French - with the adjusted use of an acute accent - as "piéfort". A delicious irony.

Tis very interesting although if they can't spell "Guarantee" properly and use "Guaranty" instead in their company name, what hope for Piedfort or anything French 🤷‍♂️

Received few goodies back from grading, all good except one 🤦🏻‍♂️

The PF69 seems to be sitting very slanted, the grader must have been drunk that day🤣

When sales post?

You never know, it’s triggering my OCD if I’m honest - it made me make a drink 🤣

You can roll the coin by rotating the slab and get it back into the vertical position.

Actually, what do you mean by rotating the slab? Apologies if that’s a silly question..

@Booky586 Please enlighten us 😀 - this would help me out too.

I recently found out with Royal Mint blister packs, holding a corner and tapping the opposite corner can rotate the coin.

Unsure about NGC slabbed ones. I've seen sovereigns which seem rotated, and that would get my OCD going (which is why I passed buying them) 🤪😂
