Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I agree. Im not too bothered about the colour. Also RM QC jokes aside, a nice fresh, clean and untouched sovereign is a treat to own.

If I could only steer myself away from the Young Vic sovs.....

She's out of your league.  Not to mention 200-odd years old.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

I like them too. It came across sarcy but that wasn't my intention.

I have been selling something else to justify (in my mind) buying some more Sovereigns.

My hit list (and you have recommended them before) is a 2002, 2005 and 2012 if I can find nice bullion ones. Also a nice 1974 Machin as I am selling some marvel comics from that era and want to make their sacrifice into a mini investment.

I love the special reverse coins -  the modern colour is all part of their character 🌞

Thank you. I have just secured one from a forum member actually which is good. I'm waiting for a mini dip or something before I go for the 2005,

The 2002 are a premium tho.

Then it's the 1974

All tips appreciated

Dave
