Nice 2017 Piedfort return from @GoldDiggerDave  Behold Royal Mint  Quality Control (TM)  Mis-aligned strike on the right hand side of the reverse where the gold alloy has been pushed out near the edge. Still got a 70 - bless NGC. Should've asked for mint error designation.

Dates are 1986, 2007 and 2015.

This morning also bought this lovey 1931 Perth mint sovereign from the Hong Kong 🇭🇰 International Numismatic fair.

Yes being the weak man I am went back to the coin fair and spent the rest of my Hong Kong 🇭🇰 spending money on another 1/20th Panda 🐼. This one is 1992.

It was a good show. Very busy and I went back at 4pm thinking it would be dead but it was still full of people milling around and buying.

You did very well!  especially with a pre-Chinese era Panda. My 1994 20th oz is the smallest gold coin I own, but it came with the set. Photo includes the 1/10th Panda design. (30th anniversary?!)

Also, you did well with the ‘Scarce’ 1931 Sovereign - which was the last year Perth minted sovereigns!

Plus, have also seen that great view🙂……

A few bits arrived this last week. Some Japanese 80% from the Meiji restoration period, these little coins have such amazing history and are the only reason I can vaguely count in Japanese. And a piece of St Bees silver from @Stacker2020 which I love too

Last of latest batch from @GoldDiggerDave  2024 full and half sovereigns. This is a low mintage year and well worth collecting. Pleased with the result. Dave's special secret sauce works wonders on new proofs (Nando's hot, I reckon).
