Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I noticed 4 or 5 of the chiwoo coins at Atkinsons pre owned site, they look really good

@Panda6Pack brings also them in - you might also have a chat and see what he has.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

A little google-fu, and it looks like this chap out of traditional folklore might be the basis -

Yes, both series are based on local Korean/Chinese legends.

Some info on who is Chiwoo Cheonwang can be read here:

Zi:Sins are essentially his 12 Guardians, each with certain unique abilities.

Here in descriptions for particular coins it's possible to read "who does what" amongst Zi:Sins:

Thanks for the support and kind words.  You're a star.

Thank you, Aldebaran is the name of a star, but I imagine that you already know that🌞 😊

Indeed, the brightest star in the constellation Taurus!  I was thinking of using my Alpha star in Libra, but it’s a bit of a mouthful.

Those are nice - I looked long and hard at it before.

Pictures don’t really do it justice. The relief on the coin is exceptional and the light catches the surface beautifully. Am sure there’ll be a vid somewhere on YouTube that shows it off but it’s an absolute cracker (bought via SilverTrader)
