The 2003 1oz gold Britannia Bust in PF70. The best Britannia portrait in my opinion. Now just need the 2005 Britannia design to complete the 4 Philip Nathan 1 year special designs. Ironically I had it and sold it 😩

Picked up my SOTD Jubilee sovereign from the Royal Mail today.  I have to say I am very impressed.  The frosting really highlights the design on this coin.  Definitely a keeper.

So I tried to respond to one of @BackyardBullion videos I thought was posted on this thread but I couldn't find it. I did find it in the videos section though where I think I found another common theme with defects appearing on coins. Could anyone have a quick look and see if it's just me or am I seeing a recurring theme. Cheers folks.

I wonder, was it always this bad?

I know they appear to have ramped up production, and there feels like a lot more interest (longer queues for releases), but for any of the longer-term buyers/collectors on here, did you always remember coins from the mint being of poor quality?

Nothing unusual about this. It is how the Royal Mint does business. Got a problem with that ? Tough, they have the monopoly and don't care so F you James

I sent one back for replacement yesterday because of scuffs that show up in the right light. I've got one coming today as well so we'll see how this one is. If this one is bad and the replacement of yesterday's is bad I'm going to cancel the set as well I think.

Look on the bright side, you can always sell the Panther at a loss because no one wants it. Or wait for it to tarnish next year and keep it in your wallet with the coppers.

I just called and cancelled the Lion and the continuity set. I am not sitting here worrying about the state of a coin each and every time. Not for a series as crapp as this one.

It's a shame because I was really looking forward to collecting this series as a newbie collector. I was gutted when I realised there was such a collection as the Queens beasts that I missed. And then to see this one start as I was getting into it I got excited for it. Personally I still really like the designs of this series but the quality is killing it.
