Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Couple of coins the kids bought off their pocket money came today. Just a Ebay job but waiting on others from members on here. Hopefully tomorrow 🤞

You, good sir, are very fast and very observant! ;)

This awesome book on Aussie poured gold and silver ingots. Highly recommended reference for any vintage bars enthusiast. :)

It’s like the monthly collectors magazines, after 12 issues they stack up into the shape of a WW2 Tiger tank.

So in my 33years i've never had this issue. Anyone had this before? Was waiting on something getting delivered from a seller on here via royal mail. I actually received a royal mail delivery yesterday (the gold bar in the post above) around the time it said this package was inaccessible so i don't understand how they managed to deliver that no problem but not this 😂. Only found out about this last night when the seller messaged me asking if id received it yet....

Is the item of a higher value than the delivered one?

I had two special deliveries due on the same day. One was for up to £750 compensation and was delivered by the postman on foot doing his round.

The other was delivered by a van outside my home and that was for up to £2500 compensation.

Both delivered on the same day.

Perhaps Royal Mail are not keen on the foot soldiers carrying a lot of potential valuables?

Nah it was actually just a 1oz silver coin so of lower value than the gold bar which is why i thought it was weird. The bar was signed for though and the coin is just tracked 48 so 2 different services which may still mean it was different posties.

God knows, just RM doing RM things i suppose 😂

No big deal , post men say that when they are running late , if they can’t make a special delivery by 1 o clock, plus it’s a bank holiday , probably get it Tuesday 👍
