It's a shame you had to shift the golds but as you said, the silvers are a good replacement. At one point I'm sure they were selling them a some crown post offices for like £10/20. Just because they made a stupidly high montage of them and probably couldn't shift them. Paddington at the station is my favourite and I bought one of those Gruffalo coins in gold too. 😎

I don't have a connection to aviation as such. I just like the history involved with mostly war aircraft. Not that I claim to know much at all. Just an interest really. 😎

Not had a proper look yet but has 54 nicely laid out pages detailing the history of the Sovereign and then around 20 pages of guide info. Book was published in 2001 so obvs only goes upto that date 

 

picked mine up from world of books for 13.45 delivered.

Nothing overly special, someone posted that the R.M sovereign capsule’s were back in stock, I’d been waiting months to put my kids birth year to 21st date runs into nice mint boxes (also flagged on TSF). These capsules fit easier in the holes in terms of pulling them out.

Chuffed I’ve now completed a display box for each, safely off to storage, that kids can admire whenever they want to get them. 19 coins up top, 2 in the gap under the tray, along with a birth year proof. These boxes are super snazzy to me.

The not so little brutes had better not sell these bleeding too fast or cheap, or I’m going to be gutted 😂

Are they the screw type ones? I end up using a knife to lift mine out and always end up opening the capsule! Very annoying! Just ordered a tube with 20 air tires for now so I can admire the coins without wrecking them or the box! Once that’s full I’ll move them into the box🙏🏼

They basically have a wider top, just press down, I’m not sure they’d be classed as screw top; someone posted they were back in stock at the mint a couple of weeks ago.

My Sovereign run was doing quite well until my daughter’s car went kaput! I have a 2024 coming tomorrow which I purchased before the car trouble but won’t be buying anymore for a couple of months! Should still be able to hit my goal of 19 before the end of the year 🤞🏼 Going to move the 95th birthday 1/4 soon as it’s starting to trigger me sat with the Sovs 🤣

Hello, the 2oz Una & the Lion arrived yesterday. I am thrilled with this coin, beautiful ultra high relief and antique finish. A really high quality mintage and I am more than satisfied. It's difficult to photograph the coin through the capsule, but I didn't want to open it either, sometimes you do more harm than good. Greetings from Maxe.
