'Elementos Mexicanos' 'Mexican Elements' 1 oz .999 silver medal by casa de moneda, Mexico.

Released in 2016, this is a very hard to find medal in the European hemisphere. No dealer online is selling this coin , apart from me.

Coins come in mint capsules and in perfect state direct from the mint.

Measures: 42 mm

Material: Silver

Purity: .999

Weight oz: 1 oz

Weight gr: 31.103 grams

Obverse:in the foreground you can see the pyramid of the sun of Teotihuacán, one of the largest buildings in Mesoamerica. On top of this is the angel of independence, symbol of Mexico City and the country, who pay homage to the heroes of independence. To the right side, there is the monument to the revolution, architectural work and mausoleum dedicated to the commemoration of the Mexican revolution. On the left side you can see the palace of fine arts, home of the expression of the culture of all artistic manifestations, behind these two monuments on the horizon, the two most important and recognized volcanoes of Mexico which represent one of the most beautiful legends of mexican love; the Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl, among whom appears Tonatiuh resplendent the sun god Mexica. And finally,

The price on that link is Mexican Pesos, not American Dollars.  680 Pesos is around £29.

They are proof in a capsule. i don't know if they are part of a series. At a guess i would think not.

i have had a look at the output of the Mexican mint. There are quite a few coins and medals we just do not see in the UK. Some really nice looking stuff that rarely gets out of Mexico. i found a list of distributors in Europe, mainly Spain and Germany but they aren't selling some of these items. Some really interest coins like this.

The price of 680 pesos for the Elementos Mexicanos medallion is probably only if you buy a dozen pieces. The only other sources were all Mexican [so potentially import duty to get them into the UK] and prices a fair bit higher.

i got a couple of another coin from nam73 as well. These come with a stand.
