As I mentioned on the previous page, I was told they minted a certain % of the total number and now have to play catch up actually minting the full number…etc etc….I was told by January and probably before Christmas by one fella on customer services. What I now have is images of part time minimum wage yoofs who dont care being hired for a few weeks to stuff the coins into the boxes without care……yikes ! Hope that is not true because that is the only part of the process The Royal Mint do not show us on their glossy magazines or flash youtube videos…..making me immediately suspicious. If enough customers demanded to know the packaging process and more importantly, by whom (!) when they have a “hit” on their hands, we might get to see the truth.

And how is that my problem ? It shows a lack of training of the staff they employ and is also indicative of their poor quality control staff too.

The inconsistency by the RM is maddening. To one customer, they say within 10 days. To another, some time between now and the end of the year.

Still on open order, so called the RM. Person said they hope to have all orders dispatched……..by January and probably before Christmas ! He also threw out a random number of hoping to have 1,000 minted within two weeks and that a percentage of the total mintage were made before release and they now have to catch up. He said this was the first time this demand on the release day had happened and I said rubbish, it isn’t. He then said he had only been working there a short while……….so sometime between now and the end of the year !
