Who's good at maths? If the sovereign has 97% gold, and weighs the correct weight, surely it would be much smaller in diameter or thickness. A good old specific gravity test would reveal, old school like.

To be fair, the post is a bit disingenuous 😇 Clickbait, if you will. Like many, I started off with silver and gold soon turned my head. I sold the best of my silver at, perhaps, a small profit and ploughed the money straight into gold, which has performed well, thank God. But had I kept the silver, that would also have performed well, and I would have had some nice pieces to look at. What is left is the silver I paid too much for and couldn't possibly recoup at this stage. Patience is required. 🥱 Apologies to the silver stacking fraternity, I am one of you, and I am still the biggest loser! 🥳 I have a QB Completer @ £135 an ounce. The badge is mine.
