    Let me revise....

Would it make for a good investment piece at £999?

Really depends how you approach it.

Mintage of 1000 and only comes in a 70. That won’t make it as rare/desirable as Royal Mint ones that get 70, if the grading success rate of the Una was anything to go by. (19% or so that have been in get a 70, figure could be wrong haven’t checked in a while)

Will it sell for a substantial profit? Yes probably.

Will it sell on for as much as a RM 70. Probably not.

This is the silver forum.......... probably nobody willing to pay £500😂😂😂

Exact reason I submitted to the CC, some of the coins for sale on CC go for big money, £1400 on an Una is pocket change to some of them.

Whereas in contrast the forum loves a bargain lol

Having just spent an ungodly sum on a watch today, I think I will be following your advise 😄

Was going through CC relatively painless? I've not submitted for an auction before.

It was my first experience also.

It was painless to be honest, however it takes around a month from sale to actually receiving the funds.

They take a 10% commission from the sale but all in all it’s a smooth process, and 10% is nothing really, after fees taking home £1260 is still a big win and if I’m not mistaken that’s still more than I’ve seen any others sell for.

Ugh I'm in two minds reading all this.. tempting me to sell!

What's the recommended route to sell one of these (a 69 grade)? CC auction?

I'm clueless when it comes to numismatic coins to be honest.. I have no business being in this thread at all 😂

100% sell it on the CC if you’re going to sell.

My 70 was the one that got £1400 in May, I wanted to keep it but the risk of it spotting scared me too much, I wish it wasn’t an issue or I’d still have it now.

no last min bidding frenzy - £1400 hammer price

Does anyone think these constant consistant higher prices in the 2oz silver coins, will have positive on effect on the 2oz gold coin's value  ?

    {just asking for a friend}

    You’d think so 💰💰💰

Good news! Hope your one in April arrives in perfect condition, if they're going as far as re-minting them then surely they'll pay better attention to QC this time 🙂

Bit annoyed I kept mine now. They told me on the phone it was unlikely I'd get a replacement and it would probably be a refund 😦 In for grading now, time will tell.

What was wrong with yours? Mines in for grading too, but as far as my eyes could tell I seemed to be one of the lucky ones 🤞

Anyone staying up late tonight the Gold Una & Lion on ebay UK auction ends tonight 23.38 GMT

currently at £19,000, via 26 bids

    with x128 watches on it

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Una-and-the-Lion-2019-UK-2oz-Gold-Proof-Coin-Limited-Edition-225-Very-Rare/303441903449?hash=item46a68bff59:g:1tAAAOSw64ZeGlia

    Time to buy more popcorn

Absolute madness, states it is COA #5, yet uses stock images.

I would never bid that much on an item I can’t see, regardless of the sellers feedback.

Another gold Una has appeared on FleaBay - £29,995

I recognise the seller ID, i think he has sold some stuff on here in the past. User is "Banned" on here 🙄😬🤬 hhmmmm

I will never understand why people put things on eBay with stock photos, I would NEVER buy anything or worth unless it’s got a clear picture of the actual item.

Gold seems to be £20,000+ atm, if you can find one for 12 currently you would be doing well

Silver should be low £300 for a while with H&B having them for sale for £299

I think we will see the true potential of the silver Una when the second in the series comes out, especially if it’s another masterpiece.

    Hi all,

I have neglected gold for far too long now, so have decided to add some fractional gold to my stack in the new year.

Out of interest, which do people prefer out of 1/10 Brits and Half Sovereigns and why? Is the size difference noticeable for example?

    Cheers

Both will sell like hotcakes if you was to put them up for sale on here, so buy smart and buy what you enjoy.

I have received 2 silver Unas from the RM, bought at a discounted 150£ :) . At first sight, they seem flawless,  I will check with a magnifer however.

For those waiting these Unas, try to be cautious wihen you'll open the box : the capsules for both coin were opened

I like the subtle "soft" frost on Una and the Lion,  it seems slightly glossy. On the obverse, the frost on the Queen is "standard" and mat.
Nice relief too, I would say that this coin is more beautiful in hand than photos

I hope to be able to capture this  with pictures later.

I am waiting now for my gold Una, praying it will be flawless too

Please upload some pictures later, I honestly think they are the most beautiful coin you can buy.
