As someone with only a small amount of gold I was very pleased to receive this from @Gypsytoday, effectively doubling my total gold holding by weight. Beautiful coin and a pleasure to deal with. 

As always, apologies for the poor photos. Also apologies for not getting everything out (ooh err) as I was pushed for time.

This little beauty turned up today.
Leaving the wrapping on and its getting thrown in the safe and forgotten about.

Wasn’t going to get these but in the end, thought twice and added to my growing little gold 1/10s collections, these little Cook Islands Bounty ships from EMK (have to say their service from Germany spot on again, with no hold ups or extra VAT issues).

Received yesterday, not through the post and a little bitter sweet really.
Definiately the most treasured of my gold, a small, dainty, 1930’s gold ring.
The reason why it will be the most treasured is that it’s my great-grandmothers wedding ring.
A symbol of a love now long gone but one I’ll always wear and pass onto the next generation.

 

I was intrigued by @AndrewSL76 and his mystery offer last week. 4 brand new silver brits in capsules plus the mystery prizes of the sample slab, a coin year i collect quite by chance and the Kennedy silver half dollar which is worth up to 15 quid. Great deal by a great seller 👍

My single most expensive silver coin so far. The prices I have seen are above 1000€ for raw and 1500€ for slabbed. Waiting to get it in my hands and send it for grading. 🤞

The Australian swan was a Pinches production that is both beautiful and has commanded strong bidding in sales we reviewed. When decimal currency came to Australia in 1966 no dollar coin was planned so a competition by a numismatic magazine (Australian Coin Review) resulted in this winning design by Andor Meszaros. The Australian mint did not mint a dollar coin until 1984. Competition organizers decided to issue the swan dollar privately (1500 BU and 750 Proof) and it has become a sought-after part of Australian numismatics.

As last year, I am posting my full 1967 collection as it was in the end of 2020. First part has anything except the slabs. These will follow in the next couple of days, as I don't have everything in one place. So here we have coin and medal sets, large medals, coin envelopes and all the bits and pieces.
