Is inflation hitting buyers?  Things I have suggested to the RM this year.
1 drastically reduce mintage of proof sovereigns for the next few years. 
 
2 to make the 5 sets exclusive without “b a stardising the sovereign” mint the full sovereign in the set with a streamer as the full normally comes without
3 make semi collectible bullion sovereigns,  12 month subscription for shield back bullion sovereigns with monthly random die numbers.  
4 been asking for this for a while, not fake modern hammered gold, but real hand hammered modern gold coins,  
HYO coins on the VIP tour?

It’s the fastest race to the bottom, serval factors, economic climate, people buying for the wrong reasons, and collectors getting like crypto buyers expecting the coin to +300% over night. 
 
The memorial is one of the best proof design wise coins,  I do think those who are sat holding a few of these £5 coming out the end of the inflation cycle will be the ones sitting pretty.

I have drafted a letter to Bassetlaw District Council thanks to the info provided by fenlander. I'm about to click send unless folks can point out anything I should add or remove. I would encourage you all to write similar letters to anyone you deem fit:

Overall the KCIII obverse is dignified with or without a crown. Compare it with the odd looking crown of the Jubilee Victoria 1887. One thing’s for sure, he always has the best interests of his family at heart, and supporting the Russo-Ukrainian war….!
 

It's very weird because his portrait is very realistic but the crown a copy-and-paste vector graphic. In real life this could look like a plastic toy crown rather like a real one.
Nevertheless I probably still will buy the coins

I’m having a feeling the design might be William Wyon’s St. George and the Dragon which we were hankering for as part of the Great Engravers series.
It’s just a feeling… I have no inside information or hints or anything at all from anyone.
I’m just deducing this from what I’m seeing and hearing:
- Proclamation says St. George and the Dragon (though the Coat of Arms also has a Proclamation!)
- Someone here said they heard from a dealer that it will be different than the regular design
- Other Mints have released Wyon’s G&D this year.
