I also received a 1/4 proof QB lion but mine has a scuff mark on the date, between the '2' and the '0' so will be going back for replacement 

I checked and double checked and it is definitely a scuff mark on the coin, very slight, hard to photograph, but just about visible on the picture.
Normally I would be slightly annoyed at things like this, but I could not help but laugh when I noticed it, having always said the RM have the worst quality control I have ever experienced. I just wish they would stop proving the point with the coins I buy! 

Finally got the Griffin to go with my lion. Looks good with the 2oz silver ones.

3 Coin 2017 Sovereign set from the Royal Mint.  Came yesterday but I missed the delivery by 10 mins so had to collect this morning.  I've included a pic of the 3 coins with a normal sovereign and also overlaid the normal sovereign over the 2017 double.  I think the double shows off the design best due to the garter reducing the size of G&D.
