  1. Quality control at the Royal Mint is allegedly atrocious and silver Brittania’s would appear to be the worst for milk spotting. It was pointed out by one member here, i think @SilverRich that its not been noticed (milk spotting) on silver bars?
  2. Perhaps contacting @GoldDiggerDave before doing anything.
  3. Whether this has any relevance … https://www.chards.co.uk/guides/fakes-forgeries-and-counterfeit-gold-coins-and-sovereigns/167
  4. If it is plaster (assuming your not meaning a first aid plaster) then its going to be abrasive so either soaking or dissolving would be appropriate. Agitating the plaster could damage the coins. Have you purchased recently and noticed upon receiving or have you had them a while and it seems to have appeared?
  5. Possibilities … Britannia’s are minted according to market demand so logically that means they could be in greater numbers than Sovereigns. Britannia’s are (now) 24 carat Sovereigns are 22 carat. In a lot of countries around the world they prefer ‘pure gold’ (India as an example). The modern Sovereign has been around now for over two hundred years the gold Britannias since 1987. Initially Brits were 22 carat so were probably less popular as basically just an alternative (in 1/4 ounce form) to a Sovereign. So statistically there are a lot of Sovereigns around. Premiums will vary depending on rarity so proofs command a higher premium (more often than not) than bullion. The modern copper colour Sovereigns are not as popular as the gold ones. I like them.
  6. Is there a way that trading feedback could only be credited once both parties have left it for each other? So (for example) if i leave feedback for another member it could only credited to them once they leave feedback for me. i can see a problem in that if your left with negative feedback then by not responding it would not be credited to you so perhaps it could only be applied to positive feedback.
  7. One uses red sovs, one uses yellow sovs, and one uses sanding discs. 🤔
  8. Cooking three peasant suppers takes it out of you.
  9. Hi honey, I’m home …. three of your forum friends are here, I’m exhausted.
