@silenceissilver which one is it?  With a wand if so which one?    Always Thought it would be worth buying one of these, then going to the London coin fair and charging £3 to see if coins are real.    Interested to see how you get on with it and a review of it

That’s  ok, it must be the poor pics then.     Better to find out now than when it comes to sell in years to come

From the pic looks like a few marks on the coin. But could be the case.

I’d go against the grain and say buy from dealers, from your posts sounds like you are nervous about buying and knowing if it is fake or real.   Don’t acid test as if it’s a premium coin will erode the value.            Numerous fakes have been sold on here in the past 10 years unbeknown to the seller and buyer. Mostly American and Saudi coins.           Not to say they aren’t gold but just very good copies.     I wouldn’t bother with silver as hard to shift and cost of sending too high.   Bullion gold from chards/Atkinsons/Hatton garden metals will be best for you until you get more experience

I think maybe £10/20 upturn, that will be In reaction to the smack down Friday, Isreal done something, iran reacted but knowing it wouldn’t do any damage.     Ball in Isreal court if they do nothing will be ok, if the retaliate skys the limit.     America normally in charge when comes to wars but this time Isreal just do what they like. America 100% backing Isreal at moment but they were with Ukraine at the start until it was hitting them in the pocket.     Isreal got people talking about Iran now rather than the famine and destruction of Gaza

Haven’t bought or sold one forum for a long time but historically members are tight so like a good deal.    Even with all the talk about cost averaging and keep on stacking I’m not sure how many will but their money where their mouth is at the moment.    If you have been stacking for a few years you will have made a nice chunk on them so if sold the qb at spot you will still be up.       Haven’t kept an eye on the beasts but some of them were going for £100’s over spot in the past but think you’d struggle to get that not but like I said I haven’t been in the market for a while

For those who asked for a dealer update I'm seeing demand has ticked up a fair bit in the past two weeks. I think those who'd hoped for a dip after £1,750 are now buying with it pushing up to £1,850.
Still plenty of people selling, but more buying again now. Not at mini-budget/banking crisis levels yet, but if it gets any busier you'll start to see banners going up on the various sites. I'd say silver has a slight edge, but still plenty of gold being shifted.

I think the roles have reversed, Tories have decimated the UK (NHS, roads/infrastructure, economy ...etc.) and now Lab have to undo all of that damage which include re-attracting the 1% back to the UK that pay a third of the total tax take, that otherwise leaves the rest having to pay 50% more in taxes to fill the hole. Just look at Sunak's pledges to ... grow the economy, reduce debt, cut NHS waiting times, stopping small boats (migration). The only one he might claim success of is having cut the number of boats by meeting them halfway and bringing the occupants of many boats ashore in a single large ship.
Either way and I see Parliament as a liability, not a asset, and as such bullish for gold. bearish for Pound.

After being here for 10 years some advice, don’t get carried away too quickly the deal will come up again and again if you wait long enough.          Gold is at an all time high so easy to get carried along on the band wagon. This has pulled many people in many times.     I’d wait a month to buy first coin after researching for that time. Because once you start buying it’s hard to stop
