  1. Past hour
  2. I was expecting a higher price given the gold price rise recently. Think they charged £850 last year for the birthday SotD - which BBP still have 5 left and BCC are selling at a £55 discount. Looks like RM have decided the price has reached saturation point. Thanks for the news.
  3. Thanks guys buying the phoenix now
  4. Disagree. My wife collects clocks. Still uses them to tell the time
  5. Great!🤗 I've ended up with 4.2 kilo flatware from @James32 and 1.1kilo from @FriedrichVonHayek, plus 1.05kilo of circulated canadian dollars from @davidcaia and @arphethean.
  6. Depends how many are sold initially. I am giving this one a miss. If others do the same, maybe not many will be sold? At £850, people are going to think very carefully before placing an order.
  7. Ended up with 8 my old chap, and an ounce brit. along with 5 sovereigns. Even posted them on TIR
  8. well you cant say there collectable if you can use them in a shop to buy goods and services in the USA. because there designed to be used, collectable means you don't use it. 🤔 t
  9. They also do code versions of it, if you don't want a key.
  10. It would have been in the annual sets, so probably only 37(?) others?
  11. Everything is stored off site. However, for household docs, passport, and when PM arrives (before going off site), I use a Phoenix Titan FS1283K. Why I chose it - I prefer a key, to a code / combi / electronic lock. It's 60 minute fire proof (docs, electricals such as flash drives, hard drives), comes with shelving inside (can hold 3 shelves, plus comes with a drawer at the top). It's also drop proof. Insurance companies recognise it. Can bolt it to the floor (bolts supplied with it... it's heavy AF anyway!). I thought the price was good compared to other similar ones. Once I found the model number, I shopped around for price/delivery just by googling it. They do smaller ones too. Mine is the largest in that particular range, I believe. Depends what you want it for etc. Ensure any safe you order turns up in discreet packaging. Don't want the neighbours to know what's coming on the pallet...! Even better - get it delivered somewhere else first, then bring it home yourself. Courier won't know where it's headed to either that way. 😜
  12. You could put a decent size hammer through the front door of your average house safe lol
  13. Thoughts on this coin? Was this released at all as a proof?
  14. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166731428674?itmmeta=01HWDVBK8Y3HVXR86DB9ZP88G0&hash=item26d1f7b342:g:JkYAAOSwJvZmKiG3&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwDwzf2Hpf189IzDzAs%2BbtBOVXApiMpWr5fE29jUBPGIhIr8vqi8b7wN2TybnB8SYPiFB7tL8QsIDsTtYfod6wk0xCnhjHAQzKx65%2FHv2tcUT59rDvOO4gr1EC1%2BSOtzHd7be2txaj0CIFPnwMyZLGBWqKwY51wcUS4PPpX1Y4e1gr8eOnv%2BDOZmsIocl7w5FxUSY1kL7%2F3T2Ziyafht3gTgBrB9KNMkZXPClDyBFz9TL9F%2FV3ldj98dzZXzWvOgEOg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5S1rrvjYw
  15. Could do with a “forum” rental where members could hire it for a week to test their metals for a small fee. Reckon it would recoup its cost in no time.
  16. I was ready to bid up to £3750 in a fair auction fight with @ZRPMs and I would be more than happy to have it in my stack. Fact: @ZRPMs bought next day 5 x 1kilo bars for £3900.
  17. Thanks @JamesH, so they are just a collectable 😀👍🏻 God, that was hard work 😂
  18. Metal type should be in the description
  19. Sad to see this bar sold after withdrawing from an open auction on forum and the buyer is definitely unhappy with his purchase. See on YouTube:
  20. And how does comparing them to collectible bits from 2021 with a high premiums help explain what the point of them is? A sovereign from Chards is currently 3.25% and from TSF this week 0% premiums. it was a simple question I thought?
  21. So true. Takeaway delivery up North went from £1/2 to £3/4/5 + 10% service charge + bag charge + breathing tax + blinking duty. Then they ask if you want to tip the driver on top. Nah. Thanks. I now telephone local firms and pay on delivery + give a tip (always cash - we need to keep it alive). £1873 Bets on close? I'm going for £1887.
