Hi all I come to you in need of help

I have been given 48 sovs to sell by a relative. Trouble is I don't have a clue regarding value. I have 5 2002 sovs and 4 2005 sovs as Well as many others.....my question is can anyone take a look at the attached pics and give me a rough value of these ones? I tried to look it up myself, not being lazy but I am absolutely no expert on these ones. Any help would be appreciated!

All lovely coins my friend!

The modern sovereigns you will likely get spot +2-3% for a private sale and 95-98% of spot if you sold to hatton garden metals for example.

The older ones are going to have some premiums for them but as to how much, it depends on who is buying and where and also how you sell them.

I recently had a 1882 M sell on ebay for £330 + £7.50 postage.

Take some close up macro style photos, sell the coin with photos and it will get a better price.

I would be amazed if the older ones didn't achieve more than £275 under the right circumstances.

Also, it is hard to tell the exact quality and condition of the coins from your photos - if they have been cleaned or polished this might reduce the amount you might get.

Just my two cents, I am not an expert :-(

You could sell the 2002 sovs and 4 2005 sovs on here no problem, £235-50 potentially

I don't know much about values of the older g&d so will leave the to the more knowledgeable folk, you might need to take better pics of each individually though as condition is very important with these things.

The 2002 and 2005 should achieve 10 - 15% premium, so £244 - 260 or maybe more. Best prices if they're in mint plastic.

As to the rest, nothing exciting there but tbh there looks to have been a fair amount of polishing going on, unless it's unfortunate lighting on the pics.

What about the other 32 coins?

I'll put my name on the list for a 2005 please.

edit: if the other 32 are 2017 'Strike of the Day' Anniversary BU editions, they go for £900-£1100 each on ebay ;)

Thanks guys. I will put a post up here in a day or two of all the ones for sale or more likely in the sell section. Moat don't look cleaned tbh and it is indeed crap lighting. Some are quite lovely and I may sniffle myself......

First lot for sale will be about 25 sovs and half sovs

I'm new to sovereign-world but from what I have read up to now, I would look and see if you have the1874 Victoria young head Shield back, London, it's apparently quite rare.

There's a new book coming out imminently that is supposed to be an updated Marsh so in theory will be the new reference and a must have.
