Help With U.S. Coins

My gut would be to pass...

But then I don't know too much about these coins. If the 1853 was unholed and uncleaned maybe I would take it for £20 but not sure about the other coin.

For the risk of £40 maybe worth it but if he is pushing for a quick sale and you are not sure or cannot easily research not I would suggest pass.

Ask yourself, can you live without the coins or live without the £40?

Ah, you see! You were using goolge. You need Google! :P

A quick look and I found this on a Dutch website. I think it's just a run of the mill '64 half dollar but with a stamp to commemorate 200 years of Dutch/US relations.

I don't know why they chose this year of coin to celebrate that milestone.

I don't think it has a mintage of 200.

I've seen one for sale for 25 euros.

I think the first coin is scrap and the '64, whilst interesting, is not worth much.

I advise that you leave them.

I can be helpful. How refreshing. :)

Sure, remember though that I could be wrong.

We have some Dutch fellas on here who may like it or know a bit more, so keep your options open.

Stay away from them - you can get an uncirculated Kennedy half for $12 - the other coin with the hole is only worth the silver content - if it is even real.

the 1964 Kennedy is the only one that is 90 percent silver.
