Hi guys.

I never sold a coin in my life and i don't know good how to start with sending.
Some tips are helpfull.

- Where do i buy a small box to put the coins in ?
If i look at the prices of boxes in the post office it looks pretty expensive.
- Is it good to use an envelope or not ?
- How to send it ? Normal post or registered ?
-How much € or £ do you guys put into packaging and sending ?

any other tips ?

Try to find a office supplier, I get small boxes from one in sweden

They are only 28mm thick, so they counts like a letter

What kind of postage is depending on value and what the buyer want

My packaging normally cost about 50cent for up to 5-6 coins

here are a link to my supplier:

I Always send recorded and insured. If its the odd few coins ill bubble wrap then surround in cardboard then pop into a padded envelope.

If im sending tubes or rolls of coins i just bubble wrap ( excessively) then tape up with parcel tape.

Doesnt have to cost you a penny just save the envelopes and padding you recieve things in and recycle.

Im sure everyone has there own way to package and post things you' ll soon figure out whats best for you.

I use old cardboard from other deliveries (like amazon) and make a 2 sided package to go over the coin. It is then wrapped in packing paper. No need for a jiffy bag and as the cardboard is usually nice and thick no chance of seeing/feeling what is inside. No need to buy expensive jiffy bags!

Bigger items or heavier items I would buy some premade boxes. I bought small parcel sized ones in bulk from Amazon. Worked out about 25p per box which is a lot less than the £2 the local post office charges!

I always send recorded delivery unless it is a very small value coin (i.e. less than £5).

Say for a single coin.  I would put it in a small bag.  You can get these cheap in bulk off ebay.

For added protection (especially if capsuled) I will tape that bag to a piece of bubble and wrap it around.

I'd then tape that to a piece of card and then use another piece of card to sandwich it.

I would tape that up and put it in a bubble envelope.

This should qualify as a large letter.  You can get Royal Mail size guides from ebay to test the width of your letter before going to the post office.
