HELP WITH ADDING UP OUNCES

Ok guys I really need help figuring out how many ounces of silver I have here. I'm not the best at adding up grams, ounces, percentages, etc.

Below I have a count of all my British junk silver coins (all 50% silver except one of them). I need you guys to help count the silver content and tell me how many ounces of silver do they add up to. Thank you so much.

18 50% silver British shillings

1 90% silver British shilling

68 50% silver British threepences

37 50% silver British florins

84 50% silver British half crowns

50.85g in 50% shillings

5.08g in 90% shillings

47.6g in threepences

209.23g in florins

592.2g in half crowns

total - 904.96 grams fine content  - 29 oz 3.06 grams fine silver content but be aware that these old coins will weight slightly different as some may be worn more than others so to get a proper weight you would need to weight each coin individually.

hope this helps!

If I may be so bold as to comment without appearing rude but if you are going to continue buying coins, I think you really need to get to grips with this issue. Without understanding this aspect and being able to calculate weights etc, you will be at a serious disadvantage while buying and at risk of making bad decisions.

I think this is the main reason why 1oz silver coins are the most popular coin of choice for stackers.

Simple mental arithmetic of knows how many oz you have in your stack

I agree but not many bargains to be had compared to junk silver. I pick up 3/4 troy oz silver quite regular for around £10.
